Cowl flap motor
Jim,
I have a 77 G My rear cowl motor failed in a sense that the small rear most internal gear within the unit was rotating on the shaft. eg. not attached. It looked like it was pressed on to the shaft. Rather than try to repair it some how I opted for a new one from Cessna, $$$$$ and they wanted the core back, since I did not know if it had been left on for any length of time was the reason for changing it. I now NEVER leave the switch in the open or closed position, I place it to off. Guy.... old72driver....
