I've flown a straight Skymaster, a Horton, and a Robertson. I own a Robertson.

I can't get that using differential braking. It feels like the nosewheel isn't turning far enough to enable the turn. If I lock the inner wheel and floor the rudder pedal, I still need huge amounts...

Turning Radius

I was surprised to find that my 1970 T337E doesn't turn as tight as I expected. It will just barely make a 180 turn on a 50' runway. Is this normal?

If your throttles are full forward, you should have no trouble getting MP higher than 29" at 17.5. You have a significant induction leak if you can't.

Are there any other T337 owners that are regularly flying at FL180 or higher? How do your mags do? What did you do to get them to run smoothly?

Is it possible to get pressurized magnetos on a non-pressurized turbo Skymaster? I took my T337E up to FL180 for the first time yesterday and had bad misfiring, so I went back to 16,000 where it ran...

They're the same engines as the Cessna 340, so you can expect maintenance costs to be similar.

340s can cost upwards of $350,000 so owners aren't as surprised when they have a $25,000 annual.

337s...

I have a T337E and it came with 18.00x5.5 "heavy duty" tires, wheels & brakes. There's no field approval needed with going to a 6.00x6; they're listed in my POH and in the parts manual as standard....

Heavy Duty tires & brakes vs "normal"

The heavy duty tires are 18.00x5.5 - it's a rare and expensive tire with a rare and expensive tube.

The normal tires are 6.00x6 8-ply - it's a more common tire, with a very common tube.

The...

Do you have unlimited choices? Last time I ordered one (for a different plane) I had two choices - zero or (I think) six.

What is this panel light?

It comes on when I press-to-test. It doesn't have a label and it wasn't labeled in my POH. It's circled in red below my turn/bank indicator.
