With a boat, and multiple cars,
I am faaaar too lazy to keep bringing them all in to some shop for constant oil changes.

Not deferred maintenance, but recent!

Not deferred at all!

It had just come out of maintenance, and they didn't tighten those screws apparently.

Good lesson on many levels

Based on my own one time issue....

If not prepared for glide ration with prop feathered, it can be startling.

It is easy to forget the 337 has something like a 12:1 glide ratio.
If you feather the rear prop, (instead of just throttle...

Concur - fuel to janitrol un-metered....but from memory

I have had a shadin for decades, but recall eons ago when I did have Ye Olde Original Fuel Flow meters.

As I recall, they worked by pressure, to indicate GPH.

If you have a fluctuating flow into...

TBM uses 45 ~ 70 GPH per hour, depending on the performance profiles... 280K ~ 320K;

Call that what?
300 knots on 60 gph?

Around 5 mpg

Not significantly much more fuel than a 337!

Its not GPH but MPG that counts.

Oh yes, and overhaul, maintenance and insurance.

Drilling down

Being a nerd I drilled down on this a bit.

Basically, different battery chemistries have slightly different ideal float charges.
But not so you would really notice.

In theory,
if your float...

Smile One more detail on side windows - offset liner

Great Lakes (and others?) sell the rubber liner that goes around inner window.
You want the slot in the liner to be slightly offset from center.
This keeps the two layers of plexi farther apart, so...

I just went through this

I drilled down pretty deeply on all options.

While gray smoked “looks cool,” and perhaps more modern,
at dusk and night it reduces contrast significantly.

Having done a LOT of dusk and night...

This one seems to have everything, PLUS vibration analysis. Appealing to a nerd.
Skymaster kit around $6k + install.

Any experiences comments?

Not primary, which I guess the 275's would be....?

Check impedance across alternator switches and master

While the resistance across the contact may show fine with a DVM, under load they aren't.

While these only have an amp or so running through them, anything less than perfect and they act like...

Pilot side panel

The pilot side panel is just held in place by some rubber bushings, easy to remove intact.

I also saw one for sale on Ebay that could offer a template.

Lastly, these days, a decent hi-rez photo...

to protect the asset value,
almost immediately,
I had my logs picked up and delivered to a nearby USGOV contractor
