You might want to lay out the service manual section on the landing gear and trace out the 'flow' chart of the hydraulic fluid from the emergency gear hand pump and see what all it interacts with......

Maybe next time you should look at getting TCM exchange units, they're warranted and usually reliable.
As to the tach problem with the rear, it's most likely the wiring connector splice about a foot...
