Switch location

On top of engine, side of throttle assembly.
Where throttle linkage connects.

An eccentric cam on the throttle shaft opens the switch.
Failure mode is “GAW GAW GAW GAW.”

99% probability its one of those microswitches

Easy to adjust (given small screwdriver and nimble fingers).

Easy to replace.
A common 'microswitch' ...if you're not too hung up on FAA sourcing.
Easiest to wire to switch off aircraft on bench,...

Cool To beat this topic to death GREEN VS GRAY TINT

As is my nature, I keep drilling down until I hit bedrock.
Then I go a bit further until the drill breaks.

Then I grind the bit into the rock for a while too.
Then I throw away the damaged tool...

Inner windows are child's play - no riveting

In may 1969 T337D, you

1. Pull out the side trim pieces, and
2. The INNER windows just have rubber seals around them*.
3. The seals just sit in simple press-in frames.

No riveting, no...

Can be found on Ebay

Don Nesier, Commodore
Flyingfish has one or two used on ebay.

Electrical motors can also be found.
Apparently the same as 400 series cowl flap motors.
Double check to be sure!

1969 version

My older T337D relies on ram air pressure, so you only get good defrost in flight.

On ground, not much at all, just from front prop backwash into ducting.

The only motor is the one mounted on the...

A bazillion years ago when I first got my 'thrasher, sometimes the doors would open.

The design is/was that unless the locks are all engaged and circuit closed, doors open.

This prevents the gear...

I popped the fuel primer line off. That's not it.

It would appear there are only two paths for fuel into cylinders when shut down:
1. Primer and /
2. sump/pump/throttle/flow divider shutoff.

There is no enforcement of 18k limit for UAT

FAA has no authority nor means to enforce the 18k ft 'limit' for UAT.
