The Skymasters (non-pressurized) have one door - located on the right side (Starboard).
It has the typical Cessna opening window that is hinged on the top. The baggage door, also on the right...

Follow up

Sorry for the delayed follow up. My '66 (337-0487) alternator switch can switch both on or off independently.

Completing this Bulletin

James,

If I understand correctly - I buy the kit (pilot's side), have it installed, and then I can can submit a credit claim. Is the credit for the full purchase price?

Thanks,
Jeff

Rear engine

rmorris,

About a month ago, you were also having an issue with the rear prop feathering, and you had the governor worked on. Is there any thoughts you have had to see if the two issues were...

Mounting Analyzer

John,
I did get the one with the C337 specific Harness.

Herb - I agree with you on placement. I think that is why I have not installed yet, is that I would like to have it in front of the pilot, it...

Hi John,
I have flown with one in a 337 and loved it. I have bought one for my 337, but I have not installed it yet. I will find a picture and post it; where I plan to install in my aircraft - it...

Door steward on C337

Howard,
Someone out there has installed one on a Cessna 337 - I remember seeing some pictures online (I think the aircraft was for sale - may be in the threads somewhere). I imagine this could be...

Not sure about your questions, but it does not sound right to me either. What did you pre-lube the o-rings with?

Pictures come out okay.

Hi Dave,
When I click on the thumbnail, it opens up correctly (O2 bottles on the top) on my computer! Keep the photos coming.

Cessna reason?

It would seem Cessna had a reason for this - but I can't think of it. You have me wondering about my '66 now. Will check it on the weekend.

Careful what you ask for.

No offense, but that is a pretty big ask for a forum like this. I am no expert on Skymasters, but to me you are asking for someone to write you a research paper, and you are not providing the...

Records

You could also do a records request on the aircraft (may not be filed yet if work just happened) from the FAA ($10) - this may provide the details of the 337 on those straps. Just an idea.

Straps, not strips

Those look like external straps (structural, not aerodynamic) on the wing - does not appear normal for a Cessna 337. Now if it was a Lockheed Electra - that would be a different story. To me, it...

V8

I think you are referring to Robinson V8 Power (Brian Robinson). I believe they have modified a few 337s in Canada. Website is http://v8seabee.com/

1966 337A MTweight

I had a look at the W&B on my my 337A, it is 2878lbs - IFR fit, mostly older, heavy stuff. Original interior, good paint, few mods; strobes, airwolf filter kit, gear door deletion. No boots, no...

Salty Parts

Sad really - engines and all instruments would need to be overhauled/torn down. My vote is it is written off given the economics. Hopefully they clean it up good - potential airframe parts could be...

On land for sure

Personal preference, I would have landed it on the runway. not only the risk of egress in the water, but the damage caused by the water landing may make this aircraft scrap metal (beyond economical...
