No Kevin they do actualley set on the rings, just make sure you don't make the slot in the leg to deep, if you do , just trim a little more off the top. If you think I need to take another picture I...

Parking Outside
If you do park outside in the winter, make sure you have some "BOOM LEGS" in case the snow gets to heavy on the tail.
