Leaky MG door actuator... again.

My left MG door actuator is leaking again.

I checked with Cox , they quoted $1,261 per unit to OH, down time: 6 - 8 weeks. No thank-you.

Has anyone SUCESSFULLY re-sealed these actuators ?

If so, can you share the parts list with me since I'm having trouble finding the exact PNs for the various packings & o-rings.

Thanks!

Textron parts manual

Don't mean to be obvious, but go to the Textron website and download the model-specific parts manual. Parts are 20 bucks or so for both actuators. It's just replacing o-rings and a few other minor components.

Several threads on the board about them. Search “cabin door lift assist”

You can buy all the parts and rebuild them your self

Make sure you buy the two caps to cap off the lines going to the actuator when you remove them

What year ?? Figure 122 in parts manual for 1965 thru 1969

Do you have a copy of the manual

You can find a copy under files in the facebook group

I have the IPC, but what I am really looking for are the Cross-references for the Cessna PNs for o-rings & packings .

The CEssna PNs are back-ordered with no lead time.

Thanks!

Go to Aircraft Spuce and search the part #'s

I searched a couple at Aircraft Spruce Canada and they come up in stock
