Seat Belts

Due to the amendment to the Cessna 337 service manual REV8. The seat belt need to be replaced after 10 years.

I am looking for a set of seat belts for a Cessna F337G 1977, these include the inertia reel long belt for the pilot and co pilot. Anybody have any source for these.
A/c on an annual at the moment and need these to complete.
Not to bothered about the rear ones.

I do have a copy of REV 8 if anybody wants it let me know, as it affects your a/c as well.

Thanks
Pete

Pete:

I don't believe too many Part 91 (private) operators follow this bulletin, but perhaps it's a requirement for other operators. There is a company that specializes in aircraft seat belts and advertises in Trade-A-Plane. They are at www.aircraftseatbelts.com and they may be able to reweb the belts and certify them in compliance with the SB. Drop them a line at info@aircraftseatbelts.com

Regards,
Ernie

PS. I hear that Jean, who attended last year's SOAPA Meeting, is back in the UK. Give her my regards.

Thanks Ernie, just heard from the company in Spain and they can get some seat belts from Cessna as a kit for 150 euros plus frieght and tax. I know this sounds very cheap but they say they are the correct seat belts so we shall see.
This company can also get prop governors overhauled for 500 euros not bad.

As we are now under EASA for certification the system has gone from bad to worse and GA in this country is going suffer due to the rules and regulations being made by them. That is a long story and you have not got enough space so i will stop here.

Pete

Ernie, Jean sents her regards to both of you and did send an email to Inita.

Ok can anybody explain why the seat belts under any Authority(FAA-CAA-EASA) needs to have the seat belts replaced after 10 years.
This is a Cessna Temporary Revision Number 8 in the 337 Maintenance Manual affecting all Cessna 337's and does not seem to affect other models.

Pete
