insurance

I am thinking about buying a pressurized model 337 for a possible upgrade to a Riley Sky Rocket in the future after I have built up some time in model. I was wondering if anybody would know if an insurance company could add a rider preventing a limit altitude before the upgrade.

Limit altitude? Never heard of that one before. What are they limiting you to?

If you talk to one agent, and to Avemco, you should get the best quote from all of the 10 - 12 insurance companies that write aviation (and not nearly all of them will write a 337 or P337).

If you don't an agent right now, my agent and friend is Scott Smith, 515-289-1439.

training

You should be aware that in the P model Skymaster, the insurance company will insist that every year you must have "Flight Safety type training" Several companies are around that hold the classes but they will charge from $1200.00 on up.

Jerry:

I've never been asked to to this in the 9 years that I've owned my plane. I forget who the carrier is, but I use Wenk Aviation Insurance in Illinois as my broker.
