Oil leak near prop governor

Any one seen this before. Noticed oil (more than usual) on rear cowl co pilots side. There seems to be a lot of oil around the prop gov and in the hole next to the wiring thingee that comes out if it. There is only one gasket between the gov and engine flange, just wondering if this is correct as I have heard that some use a metal spacer. Any thoughts?

The one gasket sounds right. Make sure it has a screen built into it. Shouldn't be any spacer.

I would suggest you send it in for overhaul. The wires are for you prop synch.

Thanks Herb, wasn't sure on the gasket issue. It might be as simple as the oil breather tube leaking as I see oil there too. My guy is going to look at it tomorrow. The gov only has a couple of hundred hours on it.

Leak found. It was the center oil return line. It broke resulting in a small but persistent oil leak. Oil blew rearward over the prop gov etc. I will send a photo when I get it fixed. Recommend checking them all next time your cowling a are off.
