Look what I made!
 

I was inspired by some lamps I saw on Etsy, so I built two lamps yesterday from the runway and taxi lights I bought from the city of Princeton, MN. I added a protected switch, like you would use to arm bombs, guns, or missles as the on-off switch. I replaced the original incandecent bulb with a low watt Edison style LED bulb. Rather than repaint, I left the original patina from 35 years of being outside. I added rubber feet so it won't mar wooden surfaces. I have blue, orange/white, and red fresnel lenses. I intend to build a few more as gifts. If you would like one, I'll make one custom for you for $200. Enjoy!
