Fly In - Nova Scotia / Prince Edward Island

The Riverview Pilots and Friends will be hosting a Canadian Fly In for all that would like to participate. This is a great opportunity to fly to some great destinations with other pilots with similar passions, "Flying". If you haven't planned a trip this year in the plane, I encourage you to join us as we have had lots of successful trips and many adventures that pilots have enjoyed immensely. Last year our Bahamas Adventure was a huge success and those that went have the memories of a fantastic adventure that is more fun with a group of pilots than by yourself.

Here's the preliminary details:

Meet in Bar Harbor, Maine on Sunday August 20, 2017. From there we will depart Sunday morning for Nova Scotia, about a 125 nm trip up the coast from Bar Harbor where you will see some of the most spectacular views anywhere. We will base from a location like Halifax (TBD) Nova Scotia and take day trips to Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick Canada. We will plan to be back in the USA on Thursday August 24, 2017 unless you plan to stay longer.

More details coming soon, Stay Tuned

that would be great if you joined us Brent

We have secured rooms in Bar Harbor for the departure point of the trip. It's peak season up there in mid August and will be very difficult to get rooms. Let's get some more push-pulls on this trip, you won't be sorry as it will be a great adventure

Got my plane's radio license, my radio operators renewed, and applied for my can pass sticker today. I think we want to arrive Friday in Bar Harbor if that is okay.

Can Pass Sticker???? You mean the CBP sticker?
Most everyone will go to Bar Harbor Friday. Did you get reservations for Quality Inn?

I'm very interested in seeing Skymasters up close, especially pre '73 models - I'm back in the market for one. I'll be in the BHB area this Thursday through the weekend. If anyone wants to trade a 337 ride for a 340 ride, let me know.

I won't be able to join you in Halifax; I'm already committed for those dates.

One Skymaster at BHB on Friday and Saturday, departing for Halifax Sunday morning. Come on over
