Interior Trim Prices

I am replacing some of the plastic in my 337H and thought members might be interested in the price differences out there.

From Neisner: Roger, I have the lower door plastic and the door window plastic, see
photos attached for $95 each. I do not have the other pieces but I think
Cessna or Plane Plastics has them.

My email back to Owen Bell:Owen

I guess I don't really understand the pricing issue here.

For example you have interior trim piece : K1515063-1 (Panel window trim) for $700- ?
This being the same piece that Vantage sell for $91.69?

Is there something here I am missing? I was just trying to throw some business towards a small company that is involved with skymasters.

Owem Bells email back to me:Roger

I am not familiar with Vantage

If they have a good fiberglass piece for $91.00 then that is a very good
price.

Buy it and see if it fits right.

Please let me know how it works out.

I believe that Owens trim parts are a nice light weight fiberglass, but Niesners said his parts are heavy duty (they are from the Riley Rocket stock) You also have to trim the piece from Niesner.

However I am pretty shocked by what amounts to in some cases a 10 time higher price by Owen Bell's company.

I actually thought Owen Bell had put the decimal point in the wrong place.

Not bashing anybody, just using the web board for its intended. purpose.

I have a 337H and my interior guy did all my interior and covered all plastic with vinyl and it looks great. He also did the air step door and where it was rubber mate is now carpeted. Dale Campbell

Dale, did you get your material from Owen Bell?

Dale Campbell 09-11-06 09:19 AM

No, they repaired any broken plastic parts then covered them with aircraft rated vinyl and the headliner was covered with a
soft headliner material. All work was done by O & N in Pennsylvania. They are the same people that convert the Cessna 210P to Turbine power Eagle . Dale Campbell

Dale

Can you post a picture of your lower door with the carpeting on it?

Dale's intention to reduce the pics above is a good idea. Here's a slightly modified version of a message I posted in February 2005, so viewers can more easily see images and to conserve valuable disk space on this message board:

"If you had trouble, like me, in viewing the pictures above, having to scroll up/down and left/right and never seeing the whole enchilada, let me suggest that you first reduce them so that the larger side is something like 600 or 700 pixels; this is easily done in Adobe Photoshop and most other image-handling software. In addition to easier viewing and faster loading, it will take less space in Kevin's website."

Got the lower door plastic from Owen Bell today. $99-. Took about an hour to cut it to fit with the dremel. Looks pretty good for a little bit of work at a pretty good price.

Mistake

Sorry. meant to say that I got the lower door trim in from Neisner for $99-, not from Owen Bell. It looks just like the original, same thickness, etc. About an hour to cut it to fit. Seems like it was well worth it, vs fixing the old one.
