How big is the baggage area?

What are the dimensions of the baggage area?

Thanks.

Do you mean the cargo pod, or the actual baggage area? I think it depends on how many seats you have, and which year (the '73 and later are different), but I'll measure mine this evening.

How big is the baggage area behind seats 3&4?

Hi;

I guess I should've said the area behind seats 3&4.
I did not know that there was a change in the cabin starting in '73. But I would like the information from the latter models.

Thanks

From '73 to '75 seats 3 and 4 are a fixed bench seat that rotates up to towards the ceiling to give access to the "baggage area" or 5th seat. Starting in '76, a bench seat is attached to rails on the sidewalls so that it can slide forward (to where the edge of the front seat was lined up with the door sill) and all the way back to the rear firewall.

'72 and prior have conventional Cessna seats similar to a 206 or 210, and mounted in a similar fashion. I vaguely remember there being some flexibility in where seats three and four are mounted '72 and prior, but perhaps I am confusing it with a 206.
