Preventing engine corrosion

Corrosion is said to be the leading cause of premature engine overhaul.

When I look at the rust on the underside of the oil filler caps on my 73 T337G (P), I worry about what is happening elsewhere in the engine.

Flying frequently is the best way to prevent corrosion, but I'm wondering if there isn't a futher step we might take.

Have any 337 operators tried placing bags of desicator in the various openings: exhaust, air intake, oil filler? I'm not talking about the desicator spark plug replacements that are used for long-term storage. I'm talking about a preventive routine for use between flights.

Likewise, have any 337 opertors tried using the commerically-avialable ventilators that are attached to the oil breather and that draw ambient air through a desicator and push it through the engine?
