Michigan Fly In Steak Dinner

NEXT SATURDAY EVENING, AUGUST 14, IS THE ANNUAL EASTPORT, MI STEAK DINNER. THE AIRPORT, TORCHPORT AIRPARK (59M) IS A DEVELOPING AIRPORT COMMUNITY WITH TWO RUNWAYS, HOMES, LOTS AND BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. IT IS JUST NORTH OF TRAVERSE CITY AND SOUTH EAST OF CHARLAVOIX. LAST YEAR WAS A GREAT FLIGHT AND WONDERFUL TIME. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT WE GOT THERE AT 6:50 PM AND THEY HAD ALREADY SOLD ALL THE STEAKS (DINNER AT 6:OO PM) WE HAD HOT DOGS, THOSE WERE REALLY EXPENSIVE HOT DOGS!

CHECK OUT YOUR SCHEDULE AND SEE IF IT WORKS. WE COULD MEET AT CADILLAC OR SOMEWHERE CENTRAL TO GATHER THE TWIN FINS AND FLY UP TOGETHER.

IS NEWMAN'S FLY IN STILL A GO ON THE 21ST?

WebMaster 08-13-04 09:47 AM

Absolutely, August 21, 4N0, noonish, I'll be on the ground directing traffic. A great lunch time fly in, with all kinds of cool planes zooming over your head. We have been seeing a powered parachute flying around. The helicopter guy will be giving rides, and

A RADAR DISPLAY WILL SHOW YOUR SPEED FOR YOUR LOW APPROACH

It's one of those things that you see on the side of the road, big display, we'll tell you how fast you were going.

FAA & Newman's

Hey Larry! If I recall right, wasn't the FAA at Newman's about three years ago taking names and whipping on us. If they are there this time gives a a warning!!! Remember, no turns greater than 60 degress bank nor vertical pitich + (-) greater than 30 degrees...unless of course, you have a parachute on, but somehow I don't think we can get away with it in the Skymaster.

If you have to warn us, use first name and not tail number please.....

Jer.....errrr Larry errr Mike...
