noise concerns in Europe

Does anybody know anything about noise problems and 337's being banned from flying in Germany for example, and Europe etc ???
Does the Riley mods change this situation?

I'm working on a 4 blade STC conversion for the Skymaster. Should be closer in June. Electric hub and 32-34 lbs. Should make the Skymaster very quiet.

I have heard various stories about Germany and noise. The recommendation I have had is to phone first. I have not been stopped anywhere here in the UK, but I have heard that there are a couple of places where you may be restricted.

I always get the RPMs back as soon as possible, so maybe I have just been lucky.

One story I was told was an airport in Germany where if you exceeded the db limit as you took off, you got two additional bills, one from the airport and one from the green noise control group and that they were not cheap.

If the plane is G reg, you also have to have your "noise" test and carry that paperwork. As I am N reg, there is no requirement.
