Making photos appear in posts

I always wondered why pictures added to a post don't appear in the post. Instead, you have to click on the attachment below the post, and the picture opens in another tab. Awkward at the least.

Yet in this post: http://www.337skymaster.com/messages...ead.php?t=5107 the photos appear in-line in the posts without having to click the attachments. This is how every other forum I belong to works.

How was this accomplished?

Can we all start posting pics in this manner?

It would be GREAT! :D

Attachments paper clip

Use the attachments icon, choose the file. I use the gallery photos file, click and upload. That sounds easy....I worked for over an hour getting the thing to take the uploads. Used a Galaxy 9-s, tried using my laptop (Mac) just then not quite as easy. Always use preview to make sure it uploads.Hope this helps.Joes

I just tried and even did an attempt at copy/paste but it didn't work. Will only make an attachment. Might be dependent on system you're using. I'm on a desktop with windows vs a cellphone.

I can’t open the link in the first post. Never been able to post an image within a post. Something wrong with the phpbb coding. To add an image inline the code is:

Code:

[img]hyperlink to image[/img]
But it doesn’t. Something has always been messed up with the coding.

Steps to make photos embedded in posts (its complicated)

1. Go to https://www.resizepixel.com (if your photo(s) are already under 1mb each skip to step 4)
2. Upload your photo (on the resizepixel.com site)
3. Go to the resize section and resize your photo to about 20-30%. This will usually make your jpg (photo file) under 1mb in size. Each individual photo needs to be under 1mb limit (on the resizepixel.com site)
4. Return to 337 forum, Create your post, in “attach files” section below your post, select “manage attachments”
5. Upload your under 1mb each jpg files up to 5 maximum photos
6. Select “close this window” you will then be returned to your post.
7. Above your post select the paperclip icon, then you will have the option to attach your uploaded photo.

Good luck and god speed

Are you tapping on the paper clip in the editor box and selecting from the image from the drop down list?

I use an app, PM Pro, instead of Photos. It allows you to rename images.
