bede1@msn.com, send me an email and I'll scan and email you a copy of my 337s for my twin Garmin 430 installations in my P337 as soon as I get back in the country next week, if you think that will be of assistance.

GREAT ARTICLE FROM COLLINS IN THE NEW FLYING MAGAZINE. HE IS REFERENCING THE 530. REALLY PUTS THINGS IN NICE PERSPECTIVE.

All Done

To everyone that helped, THANKS. The local FAA approved my Garmin installation already. Believe it or not it took only three days and I had the approval. They even told me that if I want it IFR approved all I have to do is take an instuctor and my avionics guy up and shoot three different approaches to make sure everything works. Then the AI can sign the papers and send it to them and they will approve it. Extremely nice and east to deal with (FAA). They had me reword the 337 a bit from what you guys sent me and signed it off in front of me. All I can say is if I knew it was this easy I wouldn't have got all bothered about it.

Thanks again to those of you that emailed me copies of your 337's

IFR Cert

I was informed by the FAA man that signed off my installation that when I do the three approaches (he gave me a list of the three to shoot) and get the signitures of my avionics IA guy and the instructor on the form that he already fillied out that he will come out to the airport with the approved 337. This is how they did the VFR installation 337. The FAA in my area works very quick for some reason. When I installed the EI graphics gages and had the 337 filled out and signed by my IA, I had the 337 back the next day. The maintenance shop that works on my bird seems to get things done with the FAA extremely fast. I witnessed this when they installed a camera system on a Navaho and had to cut a 3 foot hole in the belly. The FAA was up there about 3 days a week during the entire project and issued the 337 when the paint was on and drying. They (FAA) did most of the foot work on the engineering analysis, which seemed odd and out of the ordinary to me.
