Rex was an excellent host in 2015 and the Fremont Airport was an interesting place. C-GMGB will be there!

Who would be interested in tent camping on the field? Rex will have some space available on the field.

I am likely coming without my wife, too much hanger talk for her...lol. I would camp on-site, why not, if we can shower somewhere...

We had pumped the doors open for some still photos before engine start.

To reclose the doors after engine start just select the gear handle down and doors will close

I talked to Rex Damschroder the airport owner and he said it would probably be cancelled. I’ll ask him again on Saturday when I’m over there.

The 2020 Skymaster Fly-In @ Fremont airport has been officially canceled. We'll try to reschedule for the summer of 2021.
Thanks
Maybe we should have all just flown into Sturgis this week. Whats another couple dozen nice folks in a sea of 250,000 tourists? LOL :p

We are in the planning stages of a Skymaster fly in here at KJSV next year. We have many improvements being done and this would be a way to showcase our airport. We canceled all plans this year for obvious reasons. Good hotels and food.
You know I will be there Don!!
Twin Cessna group had a nice fly-in in July - Masks optional (as they should be, IMHO) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWhG_uum2t8&feature=youtu.be
If they can do it, why can't we???
Just be certain the host city has no "mask mandate". Where I live in Texas, we have no mask requirements. County Atty even put out a notice that even if the Gov. tried to do a state-wide mask mandate, that he would refuse to prosecute any "violators".
So there are still enclaves of Freedom and common sense out there that we can take advantage of for a fly-in!

We can’t have it because the airport owner / host does not want to have it.

Will you have space available if we want to camp on field overnight?
I did all of my training out of that airport and if you look at the attached, there is a ton of green space where they are planning additional hangers. Looks like plenty of space to pitch a tent! Also, there is a KOA camp ground right across the road from the airport that also has 6 cabins. As long as its not the dead of summer it would be nice.......gets a little warm there......
